We recently relocated from the West Coast to the Franklin area. In one long weekend, Paula helped us get familiar with the area, and neighborhoods, and zero in on a beautiful home convenient to work and desirable amenities. She quickly learned our tastes and made suggestions about how to take a great home and make it even better. Paula was an absolute pleasure to work with early in the search process and greatly streamlined what could have been a long and difficult process coming from out of state. However, once it came time for the final walk-through and closing, there were two unfortunate surprises, which cost us over $12k. She quickly learned our tastes and made suggestions about how to take a great home and make it even better. Paula was an absolute pleasure to work with early in the search process and greatly streamlined what could have been a long and difficult process coming from out of state. However, once it came time for the final walk-through and closing, there were two unfortunate surprises, which cost us over $12k. This unexpected expense could have been easily avoided with better communication from Paula. She did not seem to be involved in the details of the sale after the house was found. Paula seemed to understand the two incidents were unexpected and definitely unwelcome, but she dismissed both instances as “customary practices in Tennessee”. We were moving from the West Coast, so how are we supposed to know what is “customary practice in Tennessee”? (Isn’t that why you hire a local realtor who is familiar with local real estate laws and practices?). Paula offered during our final walk-through to have her handyman do some small projects in the new house to help smooth over our obvious disappointment. She even suggested specific projects. After closing on the house and getting unpacked, we reached out to Paula to get in touch with her handyman to do a few (but not all) of the small projects. Despite multiple emails, voice mail, and calls to both Paula and her assistant over several weeks, Paula never responded to any of the messages. It is very disappointing that she did not keep her commitment (which was her idea originally). She treated our home search as transactional in nature and seemed to prioritize sales volume over customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend her as a realtor given the large unexpected financial outlay, lack of responsiveness, and broken commitment.

Her strategy and vision combined with her relentless work ethic made this all possible. And because of that, we are back home.
